In 2019, Jamee was crowned Miss Heritage’s Outstanding Teen which qualified her for the Miss Arkansas pageant. There, she earned thousands of scholarship dollars, won overall best talent, interview, fitness, evening gown/onstage question winning all 4 categories for her group, and 3rd runner up for Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen!
She’s currently majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Media Studies and wants to continue to use her voice to advocate for and promote other people. One of the ways in which she recently used her voice, background and skill set was serving as the Communication Director for the Little Rock Love Campaign. Today she continues to use her literal voice helping others as a virtual English (as a second language) tutor to individuals in various countries across the world.
Jamee Ellisa McAdoo (J.E.M.) is an undergraduate student at Jackson State University. She graduated from the historic Little Rock Central High School in 2019 where she was a Thespian, active in the Advanced Performance Choir, served as the Pix Yearbook Staff Leader and Editor-in-Chief and as the president of the Writeous Poetry Club.
Jamee has had a love of language since she exited the womb! At the age of two, she was bitten by the “spotlight bug” when she performed on stage at the College of the Ozarks during a summer institute for hundreds of educators. Since then, this professional poet, award-winning playwright, former on-air radio personality, published author, recording artist and performer has been blessing the mic at various events, colleges and churches throughout Arkansas and surrounding states with crowds sometimes in excess of 2000 people.
